Sultry Bronze & Copper Make-up Look by Debbie

Hey guys this is my make-up tutorial for a sultry bronze & copper look. Since I did a voice-over in my first video, I decided not to do a voice-over for this video instead and see how it goes. As a result, there are quite a few mistakes in the video LOL sorry....

This look is actually Gyaru inspired. From my understanding, there are many styles of Gyaru. The style I'm inspired to do here is called "Kara" which means spicy or hot in Japanese.  You'll often see this style in Japanese Fashion magazines like Happie Nuts.

With this style/look, there is an emphasis on the eyes...lots of use of copper and bronze shades and lots of false eyelashes. The lips are also much bolder in color. Since this is a Gyaru inspired look, I've chosen to use 3 pairs of eyelashes for my top lashes. You don't have to use that many false lashes if you don't want to. You can just use one pair of thicker and more dramatic false lashes will do. You can also skip the bottom lashes if you want (it's optional). I just chose to do it because I wanted to balance the top lashes out since they're so dramatic.

I've actually never worn this look before. Creating this look for this video is actually the first time I've worn this look ^_^

Also, I forgot to mention in the video that for this look you want a more tanned & bronzed look so use a foundation that is one shade darker or slightly darker than what you would normally wear and use more bronzer to create that tanned bronzed look. I usually use use NC35 but for this, I've used NC40.

Simple Eye-liner for Monolids

I've decided to do my first youtube make-up tutorial on how I apply my eye-liner because this is basically the make-up I wear everyday =P

As you guys will see in the video, I have monolids and when I first started out playing around with make-up, I had so much difficulties trying to apply make-up that would compliment my eye shape. So I really hope that this video will be somewhat helpful especially to all the monolid girls out there ^_~

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE eye-liners, it's so amazing how it can totally transform the shape of your eyes. I LOVE IT!!! <3

Here is the tutorial video :)

Product & Brush Used:
  • Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink
  • MAC 209 Eyeliner Brush
Handy Items:
  • Cotton Bud (To fix up any mess or the line if it's not smooth and straight)
  • A piece of toilet paper or tissue (To wipe off the product on the brush when it starts to harden a little. Trust me you do not want to be grabbing for more product onto your brush when it's all stiff because you won't be able to apply a nice smooth and straight line plus it's kinda painful on the eye lids o_O
